The Sudbury OSPCA would like to thank everyone that participated at the Paws for A Cause Walk on the 11th of September 2011 as the local Sudbury OSPCA raised over $21,000.00. Many thanks go out to everyone that was involved in planning, walking, preparation and a special thanks to Lee Duguid for her raising over $7,660 in pledges and Linda Morgan our local Committee Chair who has spent the last 20 years planning and organizing this event. The many ladies who were involved in the planning of the event, are also acknowledged.

I would personally like to thank Mayor Matichuck, Gerry Lougheed and Staff, CTV Sudbury Cindy Rocca, KICX Radio Station Shawn MacLaren and Brian W Martin for their advertising along with all the major sponsors, who made this event a success.

Rob Kaelas, Branch Manager Sudbury and District OSPCA

I would like to invite everyone to attend at our shelter and view all of the animals that we have up for adoption. Please feel free to drop in at any time during our regular working hours. If you cannot make it to the shelter during the prescribed business hours, call us and we will attempt to arrange a mutual time to meet.

Every single day animals arrive at the Ontario SPCA Sudbury & District Branch needing our help. We feed, exercise, bathe, socialize, play with and provide comfort to these abused, neglected and abandoned animals. We drive the wounded and sick to the veterinarian, change bandages, administer medications and monitor their recovery - with the goal of finding each animal a loving home.

Last year hundreds of animals were adopted from the Sudbury & District Branch adoption centre including cats and dogs of all ages, shapes, sizes and breeds, as well as birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and more!

We invite you to drop by the shelter during adoption hours to visit the animals in our lovely windowed cat gazebo, kitty condos and large dog apartments, or browse our site and view our adoptable animals online.
